Our client is a leading food manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local and international environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as food manufacturing standards such as GMP and HACCP.
- Safety Programs: Developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
- Audits and Inspections: Conducting regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
- Risk Management: Performing risk assessments, implementing control measures, and overseeing corrective actions to minimize workplace accidents and incidents.
- Training and Awareness: Delivering EHS training programs for employees, including operators, to enhance safety awareness and ensure compliance.
- Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents, near-misses, and incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the production team and other departments to integrate EHS practices into daily operations.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of EHS activities, audits, training, and incidents in line with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Solid experience in EHS roles within the food manufacturing industry is essential.
- Knowledge: A strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards.
- Skills: A hands-on approach, with the ability to effectively engage and support production line operators.
- Language: A good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Personal Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, and possessing excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
