Position: Project Manager
Reports to: CEO
Business Scope: Thailand
Location: Bangkok or Chiang Rai (with frequent travel to Chiang Rai)
Overview:
A Thailand-based global producer and marketer of organic rice noodles, pasta, seasonings, and organic superfoods is seeking a Project Manager to join its team. The role is based in Bangkok or Chiang Rai and involves leading and managing various new projects related to capacity expansion, packaging solutions, and supply chain optimization for raw and packaging materials.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and will work closely with the CEO to drive key initiatives and improvements.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and new initiatives for FMCG plant.
- Language: Proficiency in both Thai and English (spoken and written).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of FMCG or food manufacturing processes.
- Computer proficiency.
- Strong team leadership, decision-making, and people management skills.
- Knowledge of utilities management (boilers, ETP, water systems, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee new plant projects for noodles, seasonings, and other products, focusing on capacity building, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute master project plans in collaboration with the Plant Manager and project consultants.
- Drive initiatives for capacity expansion, cost control, ingredient optimization, and energy efficiency.
- Identify and establish relationships with vendors to source organic ingredients and raw materials.
- Anticipate and address operational challenges at existing plants while developing strategic improvement plans.
- Oversee detailed project planning, monitoring, and issue resolution throughout execution.
- Explore and implement sustainable energy solutions, such as solar panels and renewable energy systems.
- Lead efforts to develop biodegradable packaging solutions.
- Define plant capacity and logistics requirements, ensuring optimal equipment and space utilization.
- Participate in negotiations with suppliers and contractors, securing competitive bids and contracts.
- Ensure energy consumption and production efficiency are optimized through close collaboration with architects and factory managers.
- Finalize design elements such as color schemes, glass materials, and other structural details for plant facilities.
