Job Description

More than just a recruitment company. At PRTR, we have been a part of our customer's success for 30 years as their total HR solutions partner. With 550 dedicated professionals and over 15,000 outsourced staff, we will continue to carry out our mission to develop a better career, a better life, and a better society, and thrive to become the No.1 people solutions organization in Southeast Asia.

We are seeking a Business Development Executive to develop sustainable vision care access points in rural Thailand. The BDE will be responsible for identifying market opportunities and barriers, analyzing consumer behaviours and preferences, and assessing the competition. The BDE will work closely with HQ to implement business strategies.

The Sustainable Programming team is focused on setting up sustainable vision care points in rural and semi-urban areas to serve the underserved community. The team is looking for an individual to develop these rural vision care access points, identify suitable local partners, and establish a local 2.5 NVG team.

One of the potential models identified is setting up vision care centres in hospitals. There are many vision care-related non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Thailand actively providing vision care for underserved communities, and the team is seeking support to explore and establish potential partnerships with such organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough market analysis to identify opportunities and barriers in rural Thailand.
    • Assessing whitespace areas feasible for setting up vision care centres, considering factors such as population demographics, poverty levels, and the current vision care landscape in the region.
    • Identifying potential partners (e.g., government, public health centres, hospitals), negotiating, and launching partnerships in close consultation with the Sustainable Programming team.
    • Identifying non-governmental organizations (NGOs), non-profit organizations (NPOs), or other like-minded organizations to jointly set up sustainable vision care access points locally.
    • Ensuring the purpose of the partnership is clarified and sourcing the right partners with shared intent.
  • Collecting and analyzing data on consumer behaviour and preferences in the target market.
    • Conducting market surveys and identifying suitable products (2.5 NVG branded) based on market needs.
  • Running recruitment drives and following up with potential leads.
  • Handling logistics and administrative tasks.
  • Providing support to the sustainable vision access points established.
  • Managing and following up on sales orders.
  • Providing regular reports and updates to management.
  • Local travel will be necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in rural or semi-urban areas.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in Thai and English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment.
