Our client is in the fashion retail industry, known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. As part of their ambitious growth strategy, they are expanding their footprint in Vietnam, one of the fastest-growing markets in Southeast Asia.
They are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the expansion efforts in this exciting market.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Conducting thorough market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and potential opportunities in Vietnam’s fashion retail sector.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive business expansion strategy tailored to the Vietnamese market.
Partnership Development:
- Identifying, negotiating, and establishing partnerships with local distributors, franchisees, and key stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with shopping mall operators, real estate developers, and other retail space providers.
Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Driving sales performance by identifying new revenue streams and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to design and execute campaigns tailored to the local audience.
Operational Oversight:
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of retail stores and e-commerce platforms in Vietnam.
- Overseeing compliance with local regulations and adapting business operations to meet cultural and market-specific requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Recruiting, training, and managing a local team to support the expansion efforts.
- Providing ongoing mentorship and ensuring the team delivers exceptional performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in business development, with a focus on retail or fashion industries.
- Proven track record of successful market entry or business expansion in Southeast Asia, preferably in Vietnam.
- Strong understanding of Vietnam’s retail landscape, consumer behaviour, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in English and Vietnamese language skills is a strong advantage.
