Our client is a global tyre manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing control measures and upholding compliance standards effectively.
- Promoting ESH (Environment, Safety, and Health) awareness and providing comprehensive guidance on roles and obligations.
- Facilitating prompt notifications, immediate responses, and the initiation of precautionary actions against unsafe or environmentally harmful conditions.
- Exemplifying high standards of ESH behaviour and inspiring others to follow.
- Executing projects in alignment with technical, quality, schedule, and financial parameters while adhering to organizational policies and standards.
- Directing the team and managing project deliverables, ensuring quality outcomes, timely completion, and cost control.
- Acting as the project’s primary liaison, engaging with internal stakeholders and external parties, including customers and suppliers.
- Addressing project variations and challenges, and minimizing risks by implementing suitable preventive measures in collaboration with the steering committee.
- Managing and synchronizing activities of all suppliers involved in plant investment projects and delivering detailed performance feedback to central departments.
- Enhancing supplier expertise through development programs, fostering professionalism and competency.
- Coordinating all stakeholders to achieve superior quality outcomes.
- Leading initiatives to optimize local equipment and processes for efficiency.
- Identifying and communicating potential enhancements to the Engineering and Technology (ET) teams.
- Drafting initial plans for preventive maintenance schedules.
- Establishing and documenting the required spare parts inventory.
- Providing comprehensive support to the Maintenance team to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in machinery installation and commissioning projects, ideally within the tyre manufacturing sector.
- Successfully managing multiple projects involving machinery setup, commissioning, enhancements, refurbishments, and upgrades.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in overseeing contractors and managing engineering projects.
- Advanced technical expertise in pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems, with proficiency in AutoCAD.
- In-depth knowledge of ttyremanufacturing processes and operations.
- Proficient in project management, including experience with the Conti PROMT system.
- Solid understanding of technical controls and drive systems.
- Competent in MS Office tools and MS Project software.
- Strong ability to coordinate and negotiate effectively with external suppliers.
- General understanding of utilities and civil construction principles.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
