Job Description

Our client is a multinational company.

They are now seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the inventory and supply chain to achieve both customer satisfaction and financial objectives, including overseeing the Inventory Management function related to inventory, procurement, planning, scheduling, logistics, shipping, and receiving.
  • Developing production planning functions, including master scheduling, production planning, shop scheduling, and shipping plans.
  • Planning and directing material planning and material logistics functions to meet business plan objectives and satisfy customer needs. Interfacing with departments such as Operations, Business Resources, Global Purchasing, Suppliers, and Engineering facilities.
  • Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
  • Maintaining receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, operational policies, and personnel procedures.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all parties involved in logistics and warehouse processes.
  • Planning, initiating, and maintaining a material procurement process to achieve the least total cost, best quality, and timely delivery of materials from internal and external suppliers, including managing inventory accuracy through monitoring shortage/surplus exceptions, supplier follow-ups, and daily delivery performance.
  • Developing and directing internal and external material flow planning, implementing efficient supplier and interplant material supply plans.
  • Meeting production and parts requirements while optimizing inventory levels, lot sizing, lead times, packaging, and transportation costs.
  • Ensuring trade and customs compliance with all relevant local, country, and international regulatory requirements, with competency in World Customs regulations, particularly on HS code determination.
  • Selecting, training, and assisting subordinates while providing career guidance and opportunities for added experience and training.
  • Developing staff skills by focusing on evaluative/analytical thinking, innovative problem-solving approaches, and team building. The position is also responsible for handling personnel issues and performance evaluations of subordinates.
  • Driving a safety culture within the warehouse and logistics operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of experience in production planning and/or material planning, logistics, warehousing, transportation, customer service strategy, and operations in manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of MRP, SAP, or QAD programs.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Good team leader with strong people management skills.
