The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing solar energy projects from conception to completion, ensuring technical excellence, timely delivery, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the technical design and engineering aspects of solar power projects, including system layout, electrical design, and structural requirements, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and optimal performance of solar installations.
- Conducting detailed site assessments and feasibility studies, analyzing factors such as solar resource potential, shading analysis, structural integrity, and electrical infrastructure to determine optimal system design and project viability.
- Developing and reviewing technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and installation manuals, while ensuring compliance with local building codes, electrical standards, and industry regulations.
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery within established timelines and cost parameters.
- Collaborating with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate procurement, installation, and commissioning activities while maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in solar energy projects or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical design, and renewable energy technologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools.
- Project management certification (PMP) preferred.
- Good command of English.
- Experience with local building codes and electrical standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
