Job Description

Our client is a jewellery manufacturing company in Thailand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning: Developing and managing detailed production schedules for jewellery manufacturing, ensuring that all production targets and deadlines are met. Coordinating with the production team to ensure the availability of resources, raw materials, and machinery.
• Inventory Management: Monitoring raw material inventory levels and coordinating with procurement to ensure that required materials are available without overstocking or shortages. Tracking production yields to maintain efficient stock levels.
• Workflow Optimization: Analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement in production efficiency, capacity utilization, and cost control.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Liaising with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components for production. Communicating any delays or issues that could impact production timelines.
• Production Monitoring: Tracking production progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards. Reporting any delays or issues that may arise and working with the production team to resolve them.
• Quality Control Support: Collaborating with the quality assurance team to ensure that finished jewellery products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Maintaining accurate production records and reports, including inventory status, work in progress (WIP), finished goods, and production outputs. Using data to forecast future production needs and recommending improvements.
• Capacity Planning: Regularly assessing production capacity and making adjustments as necessary to accommodate changes in demand, new product lines, or other factors.
• Collaboration with Design Team: Working closely with the design and product development teams to understand production requirements for new jewellery designs, prototypes, and modifications to existing products.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in production planning, inventory management, and control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the jewellery or fashion industry.
• Strong understanding of production processes, supply chain dynamics, and manufacturing principles.
• Knowledge of jewellery production processes, including casting, setting, finishing, and polishing, is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to solve complex production issues and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various departments, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of jewellery industry trends, materials, and manufacturing innovations.
• Good communication skills in English.
• 5-10 years of experience in jewelry production.
