Our client is a global plastic parts manufacturer.
Responsibilities:
- Executing & Monitoring: Overseeing and driving R&D activities, ensuring timely implementation of decisions and resolving issues.
- Collaborating with Stakeholders: Working with stakeholders to define project requirements, set goals, and assign tasks.
- Developing Formulations: Creating new formulations to meet customer specifications and project timelines in the Performance Business sector in Thailand.
- Sharing Knowledge: Promoting R&D best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Leading & Managing: Providing strong leadership to align R&D activities with overall business objectives, mentoring the team for high performance.
- Overseeing Operations: Reworking formulas to meet targets, sourcing alternative raw materials, and leading cost reduction initiatives without affecting product quality.
- Testing & Analyzing: Conducting formulation testing per customer and marketing requirements, collaborating with MCCJ for material analysis.
- Engaging with Customers & Suppliers: Engaging with customers and suppliers, including participating in trial production activities.
- Documenting & Supporting: Providing necessary documentation and cross-departmental support during development and production processes.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience with thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) and PVC compounds.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Good command of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Experience in introducing new technologies, products, and applications to stakeholders (SMs, customers).
- Ability to confidently interact with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support.
- Experience in developing and commercializing thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) and PVC compounds in response to specific customer needs.
- Responsible for monitoring the pipeline of projects assigned and actively engaging with stakeholders to successfully close projects within the proposed timeline.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to coordinate and maintain good relationships.
- Knowledge of ISO systems (IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001).
- Proficient in using computers and office equipment.
