Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Chief Maintenance Engineer to lead our maintenance and reliability operations in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering background with 5-7 years of experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, and predictive maintenance strategies. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of predictive maintenance, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTBR (Mean Time Between Repairs), and condition-based maintenance. The candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of machinery, toolmaking, and hydraulic systems in industrial settings, as well as the ability to effectively manage teams to ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of maintenance engineers and technicians to ensure high performance and reliability of equipment.
- Utilizing MTBF, MTBR, and other reliability metrics to formulate strategies that improve asset lifespan and performance.
- Applying predictive maintenance technologies and data analytics to identify potential failures before they occur, reducing unplanned downtime.
- Implementing advanced reliability engineering practices to minimize the likelihood of failure and optimize equipment uptime.
- Providing expert technical guidance on the operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, hydraulic systems, and tooling.
- Managing the maintenance department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet the needs of operations.
- Using advanced data analytics tools to track maintenance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, and predictive maintenance, with a strong track record in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of predictive maintenance strategies, MTBF, MTBR, and condition-based maintenance.
- Strong understanding of machinery, toolmaking, hydraulic systems, and their application in industrial operations.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with senior management.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken), with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
