We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Director to lead and oversee the development of large-scale data centre projects in Thailand. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in project management, engineering, and stakeholder coordination to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, mission-critical facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the Construction Project Management Team, project stakeholders, administration of the Client’s needs, interdependencies, risk management, variations, and issues to ensure successful project delivery and execution.
- Diligently understanding the Client’s expectations and ensuring timelines are met.
- Delivering the programme within the agreed parameters, i.e., cost, time, and quality, to ensure that the project’s revenue and payment cycles are properly managed.
- Managing all projects within the Client’s governance guidelines.
- Conducting regular management and site meetings related to construction-related projects for the data centre.
- Overseeing and driving Value Engineering efforts with all key stakeholders when required.
- Assisting the Client in identifying, scoping, buying out, and scheduling all the Client’s direct vendors and consultants.
- Working with project teams to address and resolve any material issues.
- Working with project teams to address and resolve design issues/changes to design drawings and providing input for any required changes in design and scope before the start of construction.
- Facilitating and ensuring tracking of all key project documents, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, etc., ensuring they are reviewed, approved, and closed with all appropriate Client stakeholders and General Contractor personnel.
- Leading the coordination and management of all the Client’s direct vendors and any associated consultants providing services to the Client, and escalating non-compliant behaviours when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in written and spoken English / Thai.
- 12+ years of MEP construction management experience required.
- Project management qualification preferred (PMI / PMP).
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving, and management skills.
- Ability to think, analyze, and problem-solve in high-pressure situations, multitask, and prioritize tasks to meet specified deadlines.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team to ensure high standards of work.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills for writing and monitoring project plans and schedules, effectively utilizing time and resources.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and manage productivity.
- Strong attention to detail for conducting site inspections and managing complex contracts.
