Job Description
Our client is a global leader in safety solutions and an integrated manufacturer of personal protection equipment for healthcare and industrial workplaces.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintaining high efficiency in operating all utility service machines to support plant operations with minimal failure.
- Ensuring that all responsible equipment runs in good condition, conforms to regulatory controls, and that safe operating procedures are followed by all service/operation operators.
- Testing and evaluating utility machines, plant equipment, instruments, or components to identify and eliminate sources of failure, as well as perfecting the accuracy, feasibility of assembly and maintenance, and overall suitability of operations (Boilers, Chillers, Compressors, Effluent Treatment Plant (upstream and downstream), Soft Water, City Water, Incoming Electrical System, Fire Hydrant System).
- Conducting annual boiler inspections and submitting reports to government authorities.
- Conducting annual NG system-related inspections and submitting reports to government authorities.
- Designing modifications and substituting components in instruments as needed.
- Collecting and distributing all technological advancements and developments in the plant maintenance field.
- Supervising and leading utility subordinates to perform their jobs efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal and external quality, safety, health, and environmental instructions, rules, and regulations.
- Ensuring that the workplace is safe and free of risks to health or the environment by conducting regular audits, inspections, and training.
- Ensuring prompt remedial action and conducting accurate investigations and reporting of all accidents and incidents.
- Ensuring that all waste generated is handled, stored, or disposed of safely and properly.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Three to five years in industrial utility maintenance/operation or related work, with at least two years at a supervisory level.
- Competencies: Leadership, systematic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making, service-minded with a sense of urgency, people skills, etc.
- Knowledge of utility plant equipment, GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 requirements.
- Other: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, PLC; good command of English; computer literate.
