Job Description

Our client manufactures large components for client companies that produce engines and vehicles of all kinds.

The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the overall production operations, including the following:

• Planning, scheduling, and prioritizing work to meet delivery schedules and quality standards, while providing technical support and serving as a resource in the production area and other departments.
• Assisting in defining the design of current and future products, establishing work processes and procedures, and making recommendations on manpower requirements.
• Ensuring a safe working environment, reviewing and selecting special tooling and equipment, and becoming involved in sourcing materials needed for client orders.
• Monitoring production schedules to ensure timely delivery and efficient operation.
• Continuously optimizing production workflows and processes for increased efficiency.
• Overseeing the management and allocation of internal resources, including manpower, tools, and machinery.
• Analyzing cost trends and proposing corrective actions to optimize production costs.
• Ensuring that all production activities adhere to quality standards and meet regulatory compliance.
• Leading the implementation and monitoring of safety standards for both personnel and machinery.
• Implementing 5S principles across the plant to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Controlling production to meet programmed delivery dates and optimize wastage, downtime, and stock levels.
• Managing, reporting on, and implementing day-to-day priorities for production requirements related to our clients’ chassis for aerial lift vehicle products, working with suppliers and manufacturers and internally within our clients’ assembly process.
• Monitoring production and unit costs, facilitating cost reduction measures in collaboration with other managers, suppliers, and customers.
• Revising existing drawings upon request and creating new drawings of products that meet customer requirements.
• Performing any other activities as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in production or plant management, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in Welding, Cutting, Rolling, Bending, Machining, Painting, and Fabrication is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production management, production techniques, equipment, and tooling.
• Understanding of productivity, cost control, and basic profit and loss principles.
• Strong management, analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
