The Engineering Manager will build and lead a dedicated engineering department. The ideal candidate must be assertive, a critical thinker, and an exceptional communicator, capable of challenging existing authority constructively and influencing change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing a strategic technology roadmap to drive innovation and long-term growth.
- Establishing and leading a separate Engineering Department focused on process improvements, technology advancements, and operational efficiency.
- Overseeing and managing the following departments: Coating, THT (Through-Hole Technology), SMT (Surface Mount Technology), Test, and Assembly.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, introduce new technologies, and ensure alignment with production and business goals.
- Challenging current processes and strategies by presenting fresh ideas and solutions to enhance performance and quality.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing engineering team.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring lean and efficient operations across all managed departments.
- Communicating effectively in English with internal teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
- Acting as a key influencer, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5-10 years of management experience in the EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry.
- Proven ability to challenge existing practices and drive strategic change.
- Strong experience managing and improving operations in Coating, THT, SMT, Test, and Assembly processes.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute long-term strategic plans.
- Experience building and leading independent engineering functions.
