Job Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager / Account Manager for their Life Sciences division. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, managing client accounts, and developing strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the life sciences industry, including biotech, pharmaceutical, and healthcare organizations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales or account management within the life sciences sector and be highly skilled at identifying client needs, presenting solutions, and closing deals to meet and exceed revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within the life sciences sector.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities through networking, market research, and industry events.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing enquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring successful delivery of products/services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met promptly and efficiently.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers within client organizations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs and pain points, offering tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Engage with clients through regular meetings, presentations, and updates on new offerings and industry developments.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, emerging needs, and competitive activity in the life sciences sector.
  • Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams to support the development of solutions that meet client and industry demands.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and technologies to better serve clients and position the company as a thought leader in the life sciences space.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and account activity updates.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize sales efforts and strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to refine sales approaches based on market insights and performance data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the life sciences or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of the life sciences market, including key trends, regulations, and challenges. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to develop actionable insights from data.
