Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all production equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and 0% downtime in the manufacturing process. This role includes managing a team of engineers & technicians, developing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards specific to the beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Planning and Execution
    • Developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment and utilities.
    • Ensuring timely execution of maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
    • Leading troubleshooting efforts to resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues related to production machinery.
  • Team Management
    • Managing, training, and developing a team of maintenance technicians and engineers to ensure high levels of performance and technical expertise.
    • Assigning tasks and responsibilities to maintenance staff, ensuring adequate support for all shifts.
  • Equipment and Facility Maintenance
    • Overseeing the maintenance of all beverage production machinery of 8 lines.
    • Managing the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Inventory and Spare Parts Management
    • Maintaining appropriate levels of spare parts and materials to support maintenance activities without causing delays.
    • Working closely with the purchasing department to manage stock levels and optimize the supply chain for spare parts.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to the beverage industry.
    • Leading regular safety inspections and audits and promoting a culture of safety within the team.
    • Ensuring that all equipment maintenance complies with industry quality standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO).
  • Collaboration with Other Departments
    • Working closely with production, quality control, and engineering teams to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement of production processes.
    • Providing technical support to other departments as needed, particularly during production start-up and shutdown activities.
  • Reporting and Documentation
    • Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
    • Preparing regular reports on maintenance performance metrics, including downtime, costs, and improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a maintenance manager, preferably in the beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of beverage production machinery.
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the food and beverage industry (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO).
