Job Description

Procurement

  • Forging and nurturing robust vendor relationships, championing quality and punctuality.
  • Streamlining the procurement cycle from purchase order to payment.
  • Staying ahead of market fluctuations, always hunting for the best deals.
  • Flexing your negotiation muscles to secure optimal prices, delivery terms, and quality.
  • Diving deep into raw material costs and market trends.
  • Synergizing with production and QA teams to ensure materials hit the mark.
  • Being the master of documentation, keeping meticulous records of all purchasing activities.
  • Maintaining a well-organized filing system for raw material documents, safety data sheets, and certificates of analysis.
  • Putting suppliers under the microscope with yearly audits.
  • Keeping the higher-ups in the loop with regular, insightful reports.

Logistics

  • Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Optimizing logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency, ensuring on-time delivery of goods.
  • Managing relationships with logistics service providers, including freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers.
  • Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
  • Monitoring and managing inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock to meet production demands while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Resolving any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, deliveries, or inventory levels.
  • Monitoring the freight fee, local and overseas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing and/or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, procurement processes, and logistics operations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge and experience in the SAP system will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
  • Good communication in English and interpersonal skills.
  • Working hours: Mon - Fri (8.30 - 17.30).
