Job Purpose
Overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of all construction materials, machinery, engineering supplies, and miscellaneous project items, ensuring compliance with established standards.
This role is responsible for maintaining required quantities, quality, cost, safety, and environmental standards.
Job Challenge
Implementing systems such as Goods Receipt Note (GRN), store entry, stock reconciliation, quality checks, storage, and issuance processes. Ensuring the safe and accurate receipt and stock-keeping of project materials for greenfield projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Developing strategies and processes that align with standards for the receipt, storage, and issuance of project materials.
- Ensuring the accuracy of stock management by implementing effective checks and controls for the inward and outward movement of materials.
- Collaborating with other departments to proactively forecast and schedule the receipt of goods and machinery, ensuring well-planned and executed storage.
- Planning ahead to ensure the availability of all resources needed to unload, transport, store, and issue machinery and equipment.
- Developing strategies for safe and secure physical inventory management to ensure all project materials are stored in good condition and protected against sabotage, misuse, or theft.
- Ensuring that necessary precautions are taken to address safety and environmental aspects during the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials.
- Establishing stringent control systems to monitor the inward and outward movement of goods, ensuring that book stock matches physical quantities.
- Developing and implementing processes for stock accounting aimed at achieving zero variance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in the field of Material Management, Commerce or a related field.
- Strong in using SAP and MS Excel.
- Minimum 8 years of working experience.
- Directly experienced in warehouse raw materials.
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent in Communication Skills, Interpersonal Skills and Analytical Skills.
- Willing to travel or work in a remote location.
