Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Business Director and collaborating across multiple teams, the Assistant Business Development Manager will support the identification and development of new business opportunities. The role focuses on market research, feasibility studies, and financial modeling for projects in new portfolios/businesses related to sustainable initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conducting in-depth research to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and potential markets within the ESG, solar, and green environment sectors, as well as other areas aligned with our core construction business.
  • Analyzing industry data and competitor strategies to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Feasibility Studies:

  • Assisting in conducting comprehensive feasibility studies to evaluate new venture viability, profitability, and strategic fit 
  • Assessing technical requirements, market conditions, and regulatory considerations for potential projects.

Financial Modeling:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed financial models to forecast project outcomes and support investment decisions.
  • Collaborating with finance teams to ensure robust data analysis and accurate financial projections.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

  • Working closely with various internal departments—such as engineering, finance, and marketing—to gather insights and compile comprehensive business proposals.
  • Supporting the Business Director and Owner by preparing analytical reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations.

Project Coordination & Support:

  • Assisting in managing project timelines, stakeholder communications, and deliverables across multiple new business initiatives.
  • Contributing to developing business development strategies to support sustainable growth and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Over 4-5 years of experience in business development, market research, or financial analysis, preferably within the construction, renewable energy, or sustainability sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for sustainable development and emerging green technologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
