Responsibilities:
The Material Planning Officer is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective availability of materials to support production schedules and customer demand. This role involves planning, forecasting, and managing inventory levels to optimize material flow and minimize disruptions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Executing and analyzing MRP runs to determine material requirements.
- Generating purchase requisitions and work orders based on MRP results.
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date master data within the ERP system.
- Monitoring inventory levels and implementing strategies to optimize stock levels.
- Conducting regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
- Identifying and addressing slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Calculating and maintaining safety stock levels.
- Communicating material requirements and delivery schedules to suppliers.
- Monitoring supplier performance and addressing delivery issues.
- Assisting in supplier selection and evaluation processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in material planning or production planning, with experience in automotive and electronic manufacturing being a plus.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Excel; experience with SAP is preferred.
- Good spoken and written English skills.
