Job Description
Our client is a global automotive parts manufacturer specializing in the design, development, and production of exterior parts. They are ranked among the top 100 Tier 1 automotive suppliers by revenue worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Managing American customers by gathering their requirements and ensuring smooth communication.
- Providing technical expertise for new model projects, consistently identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Developing and executing project activities to meet strategic objectives, analyzing data, and resolving technical issues.
- Evaluating drawings, confirming design changes (DCMS), and leading cross-functional meetings.
- Overseeing new model budgets, tracking progress, and reporting key evaluation milestones.
- Communicating new model change points within the department and across cross-functional teams.
- Leading safety, quality, and process builds for new model development.
- Monitoring equipment changes, ensuring proper documentation, and managing pre-production events.
- Coordinating daily with cross-functional teams to track project progress, reviewing process layouts, and confirming associate training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent in English.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a new model engineer in automotive manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IATF16949.
- Ability to read drawings and a good understanding of Injection, Painting, and Chroming processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiation, and service-oriented skills.
