Our client is a leading global manufacturer of electronic connectors.
Responsibilities:
- Handling quality issues that occur with outsourcing suppliers to avoid scrap in the process and protect shipment quality. Reviewing 8D reports from suppliers to ensure complete resolution of issues.
- Leading and organizing QPA/QSA audits for new and existing suppliers. Driving continuous improvement in the QMS and quality control processes of suppliers.
- Developing standards, procedures, and work instructions to provide quality guidance and facilitate training activities.
- Performing training in internal auditing, mechanical inspection, and statistical techniques.
- Developing sampling plans and statistical methods to be utilized by manufacturing and inspection teams in assessing the quality levels of products and processes, including determining control points and charting methods.
- Taking the plant AQP rule to define and conduct qualification plans for new projects before safe launch in CM, including FAI, DVPR, MSA, CPK, etc.
- Conducting external audits and supplier surveys to verify capability and/or compliance.
- Taking responsibility for handling and following up on PCNs initiated by suppliers, ensuring that any changes are verified and approved before implementation in the production line of suppliers.
- Developing, generating, and analyzing reports on returned products to identify trends and facilitate corrective action/quality improvements.
- Providing technical guidance to all personnel to assist in the use of statistical process control and problem-solving techniques.
- Working with GCQ to handle customer complaints. Leading and driving effective 8D improvements for NC issues in suppliers. Ensuring the alignment of quality acceptance criteria between Molex and the customer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic manufacturing.
- Strong skills and knowledge in quality control concepts, problem-solving (8D methodology), analytical skills, and developing quality improvement plans.
- Familiarity with quality tools, such as DVPR, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques.
- In-depth knowledge and implementation of statistical techniques, with the ability to identify, analyze, and define possible solutions for continuous product and process improvement.
