Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled PCB Layout Engineer to join our Global Hardware Development Group. The engineer will design and layout Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), customer evaluation, and engineering boards. The engineer will also ensure compliance with PCB Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) standards, apply best design practices, and perform board-level simulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and laying out PCBs for ATE, customer evaluation, and engineering boards.
- Ensuring PCB designs comply with DFM and DFA standards.
- Applying board-level simulations and analysis for signal and power integrity.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize PCB designs.
- Working with PCB fabrication processes to improve manufacturability.
- Utilizing PCB CAD tools, preferably Cadence System Capture and Allegro.
- Conducting circuit analysis and applying transmission line principles.
- Maintaining documentation and supporting design validation processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in PCB design/layout.
- Strong understanding of PCB DFM and DFA.
- Knowledge of PCB fabrication processes is a plus.
- Experience with circuit analysis, transmission line principles, and power integrity.
- Familiarity with circuit and layout simulation tools is an advantage.
- Proficiency in PCB CAD tools; experience with Cadence System Capture and Allegro is preferred.
- CID or CID+ certification (or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
