Our client is a leading confectionery manufacturer dedicated to delivering high-quality products to customers.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience in process engineering within a manufacturing setting, with a strong focus on optimizing processes, conducting work studies, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions through existing or new machinery and conveyors. This role presents an excellent opportunity for enhancing production efficiency and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and enhancing production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conducting time and motion studies to identify bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
- Developing strategies for process automation and workflow improvements while assessing ROI for proposed solutions.
- Evaluating and recommending upgrades or replacements for existing machinery and conveyors.
- Identifying opportunities for automation in labor-intensive environments.
- Optimizing SKU range and production planning to streamline operations and reduce complexity.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality, to drive continuous improvement.
- Designing, documenting, and implementing process improvements and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Establishing and monitoring KPIs related to process efficiency, ensuring data quality, and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Supporting trials for new products and processes to ensure smooth integration into production lines.
- Ensuring all process modifications comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering (preferably in food or confectionery industries).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Hands-on experience with production machinery, conveyor systems, and automation solutions.
- Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and work study methodologies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies is a plus.
