Our client is a specialist in logistics and warehouse services.
The Business Operation Manager will be responsible for the following key functions:
- Developing and implementing operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize business processes, increase efficiency, and improve productivity.
- Identifying areas for process improvement and leading initiatives to enhance workflow, reduce costs, and improve quality across all operational activities.
- Managing, training, and guiding the operations team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and performance expectations.
- Collaborating with other departments such as HR, finance, marketing, and sales to ensure smooth business operations and achieve company objectives.
- Analyzing business operations data to provide insights on key performance metrics, operational performance, and areas for improvement. Presenting findings and reports to senior leadership.
- Overseeing budgets related to operational functions, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. Assisting in cost analysis and cost-cutting measures.
- Identifying potential operational risks and developing mitigation strategies to safeguard business continuity and compliance with industry standards.
- Ensuring the integration of relevant technology and systems to support operations, improve efficiency, and streamline communication.
- Managing relationships with vendors and key stakeholders, ensuring contracts, deliverables, and service agreements are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business operations from a logistics provider or in a management role.
- Proven experience in process optimization and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Strong understanding of business performance metrics and financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and performance tracking software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of MSDS; SAP experience will be an advantage.
- Prior WMS system experience preferred.
- Good command of the English language with computer proficiency.
