Job Description
Our client is a global freight forwarder based in China, with its Southeast Asia headquarters in Singapore.
The company has recently established an office in Thailand, located in the Silom area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recording and classifying financial transactions: Accurately recording daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, invoices, and vouchers, into the accounting system.
- Handling accounts payable processes: Verifying invoices, matching them with purchase orders, receiving reports, and scheduling payments to ensure timely settlement while maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
- Managing accounts receivable: Issuing invoices promptly, monitoring collections, and following up on overdue payments to optimize cash flow.
- Providing necessary data and support: Assisting the senior accounting team in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reviewing and processing employee expense reports: Ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation.
- Gathering and organizing relevant financial data for tax filings: Assisting in the preparation of tax returns and ensuring that all tax-related information is accurate and submitted on time.
- Maintaining organized accounting files and records: Ensuring proper storage and archiving of financial documents, both in physical and electronic formats.
- Monitoring office supplies: Placing orders to ensure adequate inventory.
- Overseeing day-to-day office operations: Ensuring a productive work environment.
- Implementing and maintaining office policies and procedures: Improving operational efficiency.
- Supporting the onboarding of new staff and assisting with payroll calculations: Ensuring accurate payroll processes for employees.
- Setting up and fulfilling social insurance and other compliant documents: Managing regular statutory requirements.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the manager in China and Singapore.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
- At least 3 years of experience in full-function accounting, including supporting month-end processes and preparing financial statements, within the logistics or freight forwarding industry (required).
- Experience or background in office administration and HR is a plus.
- Background in setting up a new company and implementing accounting systems is essential.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Possessing a CPD license.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with direct reporting to foreign managers.
- Independent, highly responsible, and eager to learn.
- Able to work 5 days a week, with the office located near MRT Silom.
