Our client is an automotive parts company.
Responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control processes to ensure that processes and products meet customer expectations and relevant quality standards.
- Analyzing daily reports and implementing actions to minimize defects, scrap, and rework in production.
- Investigating process non-conformances and working with cross-functional teams to determine root causes using problem-solving tools and 8D reports.
- Developing and maintaining quality assurance standards to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Developing, implementing, and tracking corrective actions and preventive actions to address process issues and prevent the recurrence of quality issues.
- Performing Layered Process Audits regularly to verify product and process quality performance.
- Leading customer complaints and collaborating with cross-functional teams to conduct investigations and provide 8D reports.
- Providing technical guidance and training to production operators on quality control protocols and procedures.
- Qualifying operator inspectors regularly to ensure they are capable of performing quality inspections correctly using MSA tools.
- Providing training to production staff on quality standards, inspection procedures, and process improvements.
- Being involved with the suppliers' development department to ensure that incoming materials meet required quality standards and collaborating on resolving quality issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering field, experience in the automotive industry, and knowledge of quality systems such as ISO/TS 16949 and VDA would be an advantage.
- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt would be a significant advantage.
- Required direct experience in Quality Engineering.
- Strong root cause analysis, problem-solving, and data analysis capabilities.
- Experience with core tools and statistical software (e.g., SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP, Control Plan, Minitab).
- Focus on tracking process variables, such as defect, rework, and scrap rates.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to lead quality initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
