Main Responsibilities:
- Performing preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on injection moulding machines, moulds, and related equipment.
- Maintaining and repairing moulding machines, robot systems, and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal production performance.
- Analyzing moulding processes to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Developing and refining moulding parameters to ensure the production of high-quality medical components.
- Performing routine inspections, cleaning, and adjustments to moulds to prevent defects.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and part inventories.
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant medical device regulations, including FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP requirements.
- Collaborating with R&D and Production teams to resolve technical issues related to mould design, material selection, and production techniques.
- Providing technical support and training to production operators on mould and machine operation.
- Participating in cross-functional teams for product launches, process improvements, and troubleshooting.
- Ensuring safe working conditions by adhering to all company safety protocols and best practices.
- Continuously monitoring the quality of moulded parts, ensuring conformance to medical device specifications and regulatory standards.
- Identifying and reporting any deviations from quality standards and taking corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in moulding or maintenance engineering (e.g., PMMI, Six Sigma, etc.) are a plus.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 is a must.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in injection moulding, with a focus on maintenance in a regulated manufacturing environment (preferably in the medical device industry).
- Strong background in injection molding equipment, molds, and related technologies (e.g., robotic arms, automation systems).
- Hands-on experience with process optimization, mold maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
