Job Description

Our client has a legacy of more than 150 years of engineering expertise and is a long-standing leader in the oil and gas industry. Their offerings include Electric Motors, Low Voltage Motors, High Voltage Motors, Medium Voltage Drives, Geared Motors, Digital Services, and Customer Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and working closely with appointed freight forwarders, local brokers (including customs), and warehouse providers.
  • Providing booking instructions to freight forwarders.
  • Closely monitoring the status of shipments (ETD, ETA).
  • Updating the relevant tracking file for monitoring purposes.
  • Verifying customs-related documentation.
  • Initiating payment requests for customs clearance and informing signatories.
  • Following up on the timely execution and approval of customs payment transactions and monitoring the customs release procedures.
  • Providing delivery instructions for deliveries to customers.
  • Submitting required documents in a timely manner to ensure smooth processing.
  • Monitoring the status of customer deliveries.
  • Closely liaising with Customs and Logistics governance functions.
  • Ensuring timely coordination, escalation, and resolution of logistics and delivery issues.
  • Coordinating with business operations counterparts on relevant requirements.
  • Supporting or carrying out order processing tasks as required by business operations.
  • Taking on ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • University degree in Finance or Business Administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business administration or finance-related functions (preferably order management or logistics).
  • Experience in handling freight forwarders, local brokers, and warehouse providers.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, customs regulations, etc.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Strong communication (proficient in English) and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing demands.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multi-cultural working environment.
