Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced VP/GM of Sales and Business Development to lead the growth strategy in the data centre and industrial automation markets. This senior leadership role involves managing regional sales teams, driving new business opportunities, and expanding market share while leveraging technical expertise in power electronics, such as AC-DC converters and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
- Developing and executing sales and business development strategies targeting the data centre and industrial automation sectors.
- Leading efforts to capture new customers and enter emerging markets, driving revenue and profit growth.

Regional Team Management:
- Overseeing and managing a regional sales and business development team across multiple countries.
- Setting KPIs and ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded.
- Building, mentoring, and expanding the sales team to align with organizational growth objectives.

Technical Expertise:
- Guiding technical solutions for power electronics, including AC-DC converters, UPS systems, and industrial components.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to develop tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.

Customer and Market Engagement:
- Establishing strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders within the data centre and industrial automation industries.
- Identifying market trends and competitor activities to drive proactive strategies.

Operational Excellence:
- Managing budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations for regional sales teams.
- Ensuring the delivery of sustainable business growth through effective planning and execution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in sales, business development, or related roles within the power electronics, data centre, or industrial automation supplier sectors.
- Proven ability to manage and grow regional teams, with 10+ direct reports or more.
- Deep technical understanding of power electronics, including AC-DC converters, DC-DC power supplies, and other electrical components.
- Strong network within the data centre or industrial automation markets, with a proven track record of securing high-value deals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
