Job Description

Our client is an FMCG company.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring high-quality standards in production by inspecting processes, outputs, and staff.
  • Guiding and directing the factory team to implement the highest standards of sanitation, hygiene, and GHP in the manufacturing plant.
  • Leading and facilitating cross-functional teams to drive resolution for any major quality issues affecting the organization.
  • Coordinating and directing all quality-related work and personnel functionally.
  • Validating quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes.
  • Holding the authority to identify corrective action plans for non-conforming quality requirements.
  • Leading and directing the process for incoming raw material and packaging inspection.
  • Leading the investigation of consumer complaints and developing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conducting root cause analysis of issues and arranging corrective action plans properly and effectively.
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement programs, providing guidance/training, and increasing QA awareness for all staff and operators.
  • Conducting on-site investigations for quality issues.
  • Managing raw materials and packaging materials specifications to ensure conformance with specified requirements.
  • Working with the SEA Regional team on the supplier audit system, scheduling and performing supplier audits on quality, evaluating manufacturing facilities, following up on supplier corrective actions, and developing systems to minimize product risk while ensuring products and materials supplied by external vendors meet the company's quality standards.
  • Involving the entire NPD team to ensure new products fulfil all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements as per local laws and company standards before commercialization.
  • Assessing material risks and identifying control plans.
  • Managing relevant certifications, internal and external audits related to GFSI, company global audits, and Halal certification.
  • Ensuring spending remains within the QA budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in food manufacturing.
  • Experience in process/raw material receiving and supplier audits.
  • Being a good team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Having strong interpersonal skills.
  • Possessing English communication skills.
  • Experience in a multinational organization.
