The company is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Agriculture Field Trial Manager. This role will spearhead field research initiatives, driving innovative solutions in agronomy, breeding, and agricultural technology.

Job Description:

  • Planning, managing, and executing parental line field trials and research projects in the Indochina region.
  • Overseeing multidisciplinary trials covering variety-specific agronomy, pest and disease resilience, nitrogen use efficiency, microbiome interactions, climate adaptability, and soil health.
  • Analyzing and interpreting experimental data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Implementing secure trialling practices to safeguard foundational genetics essential to global breeding programs.
  • Serving as the lead agronomic research expert for R&D projects across multiple categories.
  • Providing technical guidance to teams within R&D, Sustainability, and Procurement to support project objectives.
  • Facilitating shared use of lab facilities for post-harvest evaluations.
  • Documenting and communicating high-quality research findings to support global strategies, annual operating plans (AOP), and pep+ objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Breeding, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing agricultural research trials, particularly for potato or other staple crops.
  • Strong understanding of plant breeding, agricultural technology, and sustainable farming practices.
  • Experience in plant pathology.
  • Familiarity with local regulatory frameworks for plant patents and genetic resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a track record of translating research outcomes into actionable recommendations.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated – with a very high drive for results and the ability to deal with uncertainty and complexity.
  • Fluent command of English.
