Job Description
Our client provides facilities for cruise ship docking and operates the amenities of the port.
Responsibilities:
- Managing daily operations and ensuring marina rules, regulations, policies, and procedures are current, posted, and comply with all laws and industry regulations.
- Developing and implementing audit standard operating procedures for every facet of marina operations to ensure proper functioning.
- Overseeing the operations of the marina, fuel dock, boat activity, mechanical equipment, and other ancillary marina operations.
- Ensuring the safety of customers and employees by providing training in the safe use of marina equipment and all functions related to their respective positions, including firefighting equipment and spill containment.
- Ensuring and taking appropriate action for the proper maintenance of all marina equipment, property, grounds, and floating or fixed docks.
- Ensuring that all company and customer equipment is secured each evening before lock-up.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- University/college degree in business management, economics, hospitality, asset management, or related fields (IMM, AMM, CMM).
- At least 3-5 years of work experience in marina management/operations or the hotel/restaurant industry (IMM, AMM, CMM).
- Certification through the Association of Marina Industries is preferred.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Must be able to swim and available for 24-hour telephone contact for emergency response.
- Strong marina operation experience, team management skills, and good communication.
