Job Description
- Monitoring daily accounting operations and being responsible for a full set of accounts and statutory accounting for Thailand.
- Verifying transactions and documentation for payments and collections.
- Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting information and reporting directly to the accounting manager.
- Reviewing fixed asset physical counts, preparing asset write-off lists, and monitoring and controlling the property/asset register and depreciation calculation sheets.
- Handling the full scope of statutory filing and tax filing, ensuring tax compliance (VAT, WHT, CIT).
- Being responsible for month-end closing, including preparing/reviewing periodic reconciliation reports for the bank, related company transactions, fixed assets, and other necessary balance sheet items (if needed).
- Assisting in preparing monthly financial reports and developing and/or utilizing spreadsheets, databases, and other computer applications.
- Processing specialized information, reports, and forms, such as fees, billing, and project tracking, and entering information into a financial accounting system.
- Liaising with internal and external auditors and providing support when required by auditors.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure an effective financial and accounting system.
- Handling other financial and/or accounting-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of related work experience; audit experience will be an advantage.
- Excellent speaking and writing ability in both English and Thai is required.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Excel (Pivot, V-Lookup), and PowerPoint.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for this position.
- Able to work independently and efficiently, meeting tight deadlines.
- Committed team player with a positive learning attitude and self-motivation.
- Flexible approach to work and a 'can-do' attitude, able to operate effectively in a fast-moving, developing, and constantly changing company.
- Prior experience in lending, banking, and finance companies is preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business, or a related field.
