Job Description
Our client is a leading company developing products related to food and beverages.
Responsibilities:
- Developing product concepts with the Planning team.
- Defining the product concept and key features.
- Creating prototypes to visualize and clarify product features.
- Conducting feasibility analysis (mainly required at the Assistant Manager level).
- Assessing technical, financial, and operational feasibility (ingredients, processing, food safety, and regulatory aspects).
- Evaluating potential risks and challenges.
- Coordinating cross-functionally and managing time effectively.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as the Planning team, R&D Japan team, suppliers or third-party partners, manufacturers, and public government authorities.
- Planning and reporting work progress and addressing any arising issues.
- Performing product testing.
- Conducting experimental shelf-life studies, laboratory and pilot-scale experiments, and physical and chemical lab analyses.
- Analyzing results and preparing reports.
- Overseeing manufacturing and production processes.
- Monitoring production processes and resolving any arising issues.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
- Ensuring the product complies with relevant regulations and standards.
- Obtaining necessary certifications and approvals.
- Implementing quality control processes to meet specified product standards.
- Conducting testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Providing post-launch support.
- Monitoring product performance and customer feedback.
- Tracking new products from competitors.
- Meeting basic expectations.
- Researching and understanding all information related to new product development and the product development process.
- Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of Assistant R&D work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field such as Food Science, Food Technology, Agri-Industry, or Product Development.
- Over 4 years of experience in food and beverage manufacturing/industry or similar product categories (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Good team player and a quick learner.
- Open-minded, proactive, and innovative.
- Positive working attitude and ability to work within the company’s organizational framework.
- Proficient in computer typing and working knowledge of apps (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
