Summary
The Cycle Count Analyst is responsible for analyzing inventory data and identifying discrepancies between physical inventory and system records. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory levels, improving operational efficiency, and reducing inventory losses.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing cycle count results to identify trends and patterns in discrepancies.
- Investigating root causes of discrepancies, such as system errors, human error, or theft.
- Recommending corrective actions to address identified issues and prevent future discrepancies.
- Utilizing data analysis tools to identify inventory trends and anomalies.
- Generating reports on inventory performance metrics, such as inventory accuracy and turnover rates.
- Analyzing historical data to forecast future inventory needs.
- Identifying opportunities to improve cycle count procedures and inventory accuracy.
- Developing and implementing new processes to streamline inventory management.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory workflows.
- Conducting thorough investigations to determine the underlying causes of inventory discrepancies.
- Implementing corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in inventory management, cycle counting, or data analysis in automotive or electronic part manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and other data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
