Job Description

Our client company is a dynamic and innovative family-owned business focused on comprehensive oral health. The company develops, markets, and sells dental care products worldwide, collaborating closely with dental professionals. 

They are seeking a dedicated, hands-on General Manager to join their Thai subsidiary, which operates with a team of 12 people and an annual turnover exceeding one million euros. The role will play a key part in driving the growth of their business in Thailand

Position Overview: The General Manager (GM), Thailand will be responsible for overseeing all business operations in the region. This strategic leadership position requires a dynamic individual with strong management capabilities who can guide a team of approximately 12 people toward achieving business goals, maintaining operational efficiency, and fostering a productive work environment. The GM will manage human resources, finances, and operations while ensuring that the business continues to grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the business
  • Lead, guide, and motivate managers and employees across all departments
  • Monitor and assess performance, making adjustments to strategies as needed
  • Cultivate a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Represent the company at industry events and in relations with key stakeholders, partners, and clients in Thailand

2. Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and smooth business processes
  • Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure productivity, quality, and compliance
  • Manage the supply chain, production, inventory, and delivery systems
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges to minimize disruptions

3. Financial Management

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and financial stability
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize expenses
  • Analyze financial performance and report key performance indicators to senior management

4. Human Resources Management

  • Oversee recruitment, training, and staff development
  • Manage employee performance and foster a motivating workplace culture
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies concerning employee relations and safety
  • Promote a positive, engaging work environment that attracts and retains top talent

5. Sales & Marketing

  • Develop strategies to increase revenue and expand market share
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align with organizational goals
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform business strategies

6. Customer & Stakeholder Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders
  • Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction
  • Monitor and enhance customer service standards

7. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements across all operations
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Oversee safety and security protocols to maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Experience: 5-10 years of managerial experience in a similar industry, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficient in financial management and budgeting
    • Ability to manage multiple departments and teams
    • Strong knowledge of industry regulations, operational practices, and technology tools
    • Ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve business objectives
    • Fluency in Thai and English

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with occasional travel required
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard office hours, including weekends, when needed to meet business goals or address urgent issues
