Our client is a leader in industrial product manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accounting and financial systems, managing credit facilities with banks, managing liquidity management facilities with banks and performing financial accounting, managing accounting and internal auditing procedures for the company and its operations, managing all reporting, and ensuring compliance with all related laws and regulations.
- Strategy, Risk Management and Governance; Financial Management; Auditing and Assurance; Accounting and External Reporting; Taxation; Management Decision-Making and Control.
Financial Accounting
- Implementing accounting software and overseeing it's accurate and efficient functioning.
- Ensuring that the correct accounting classification and treatment is applied to all transactions.
- Ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Inventory control (inflow & outflow).
Management Accounting
- Analysing financial statements.
- Creating comprehensive budgets and systematically taking over the budget process.
- Preparing costing for future products & projects.
- Analysing cashflow to ensure efficient utilisation of funds.
Internal Auditing
- Creating / modifying existing procedures to ensure accuracy, accountability and transparency throughout the Finance Department.
- Modifying existing documentation structure to ensure the following:
- Sufficient segregation of duties.
- Access controls around different areas and functions.
- Independent review of all transactions.
- Appropriate requisition of authorisation.
- Monitoring of input, documentation and personnel.
Other
- Supporting employees in areas which relate to the Finance Department & training users of the accounting software both in the use of the software and in general accounting principles.
- Becoming familiarized with Thai laws related to labour, tax, accounting and the applicable ISO's (9001, 14001 and possibly other).
- Supporting company employees and general activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or any related field.
- More than three years of experience in a financial management position.
- 10+ years in accounting and finance in a factory, and at a Division Head level for 5 years.
- Knowledge of accounting laws, tax, and VAT.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and MAC-5
