Currently, our client is seeking for Marine Claim or Shipping Operator to be a part of the team as per the details below.

About the Role

In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for managing demurrage claims, optimizing costs, and ensuring smooth operations in import and export shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing demurrage claims for both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Performing precise demurrage calculations based on contracts and tariffs.
• Ensuring timely processing and submission of claims.
• Navigating disputes and negotiations with various stakeholders.
• Maintaining meticulous records and generating comprehensive reports.
• Analyzing trends and providing insights for operational enhancements.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external parties to resolve demurrage-related issues.
• Developing strategies to minimize demurrage costs and cargo dwell times.
• Educating colleagues on best practices to avoid unnecessary delays.
• Negotiating favourable demurrage terms with shipping lines and terminal operators.
• Offering expert advice on mitigating demurrage claim risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in logistics, business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or demurrage claim management.
• Fluent in English both spoken and written.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate technical data effectively.
• Self-motivated with a desire for professional growth.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, especially in multinational environments.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and responsible with a positive work attitude.
