Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of commercial home appliances.
Responsibilities
- Providing experience in direct material sourcing (steel).
- Performing material cost analysis and BOM maintenance.
- Conducting and managing direct material sourcing for new programs.
- Leading contract agreement processes with suppliers in all aspects such as MOQ, credit terms, etc.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders on supplier assessments, evaluating potential suppliers, and managing the overall supplier qualification process.
- Evaluating and monitoring supplier performance on CQTDS.
- Solving sourcing problems by analyzing possibilities and solutions using technical experience and judgment, with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
- Driving the cost and initiating cost-saving activities to meet the targets.
- Working with cross-functional teams and supporting new project requirements.
- Initiating continuous improvement in purchasing processes.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years’ previous experience working as a Purchasing Officer in a steel commodity or a related position.
- Experience in tender and bidding activities.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes and policies.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in automotive or home appliance systems.
- Manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Good communication skills; able to negotiate, establish, and process contracts.
- Good English communication skills.
