The company is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Sourcing and Procurement Manager to join the team with strategic sourcing, negotiation, and planning skills, in-depth knowledge of the procurement process, and international procurement best practices.
Job Description
- Managing all direct and indirect procurement activities for the company, negotiating and enforcing contracts with third parties to ensure the timely and quality supply of goods and services.
- Sourcing and purchasing direct materials from farm products for further processing, ensuring compliance with the company’s relevant standards, and interacting with farmers, harvesters, brokers, and other market operators.
- Defining the sustainable sourcing strategy.
- Developing a direct material supply plan for the budget and actively providing inputs to improve forecast reliability.
- Negotiating favourable prices and terms while ensuring the utmost quality and reliability.
- Implementing purchasing contracts, supply agreements, and goods and services agreements with third parties, farmers, and collection centres to secure production and ensure long-term sustainable partnerships.
- Purchasing raw material volumes daily based on the production plan and negotiating prices.
- Managing the department budget, allocations, and monitoring expenses.
- Overseeing the team’s performance, determining KPIs, and monitoring them thoroughly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management within manufacturing companies.
- Experience in sourcing agricultural/fruit products.
- Strong financial management experience, including budgeting and cost management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with farmers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in leading and managing people.
- A fluent command of spoken and written English is a must.
