Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager for Transport who is responsible for identifying and creating new business opportunities within the transportation sector. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans to expand our company's presence in the market, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving revenue growth targets.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting market research to identify trends, customer needs, and potential business opportunities within the transport industry.
- Analyzing competitor activities and market dynamics to develop effective strategies.
- Developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identifying new markets, services, and products that align with the company's objectives.
- Identifying and targeting potential clients, partners, and customers in the transportation sector.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in the industry.
- Negotiating and closing deals with clients and partners.
- Collaborating with the product development team to design transportation solutions that meet client needs.
- Customizing services or products to fit specific client requirements.
- Developing and maintaining a sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Preparing and presenting proposals, contracts, and pricing to potential clients.
- Tracking and reporting on sales performance regularly.
- Developing marketing strategies to promote the company's services.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations and finance to achieve business goals.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development within the transport or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of transportation market trends and industry regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required.
