Position: Head of Manufacturing

As the Head of Manufacturing for a leading Food & Beverage company, you will oversee the end-to-end manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality products, efficient use of resources, maintenance and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. You will lead a multi-functional team, driving process optimization, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives across all production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the production team, and maintenance team including managers, supervisors, and line workers to ensure smooth operations and workforce engagement.
  • Ensuring all products meet company and industry standards for quality and safety, overseeing quality assurance processes and managing any production issues that may arise.
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvement, implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Developing and managing manufacturing budgets, ensuring optimal use of resources and driving cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Ensuring the facility operates in compliance with all food safety, environmental, and health regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA), maintaining certification and audit readiness.
  • Collaborating with procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials, while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Contributing to long-term strategic planning for the manufacturing department, including capacity planning, equipment investment, and expansion projects.
  • Driving innovation by introducing new technologies and automation solutions to improve production efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Leading sustainability efforts in manufacturing, focusing on reducing energy consumption, minimizing waste, and improving eco-friendly processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally in the Food & Beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, FDA) and experience in regulatory audits.
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and improving production processes.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
