The REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations, financial performance, and compliance of a real estate portfolio within the property development industry. This role requires a deep understanding of real estate investments, financial modelling, and regulatory requirements, ensuring that the trust operates efficiently and in the best interests of its investors.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
- Overseeing the daily operations and management of the real estate assets within the REIT portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and value appreciation.
- Collaborating with property managers, leasing agents, and development teams to ensure properties meet revenue and occupancy targets.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Preparing and analysing financial statements, forecasts, and investment reports to track the performance of the REIT and its assets.
- Developing financial models to assess property valuations, cash flow projections, and potential acquisitions or divestitures.
Regulatory Compliance & Investor Relations
- Ensuring that all REIT activities comply with local regulations and industry standards, including SEC filings, tax obligations, and disclosure requirements.
- Managing relationships with investors, providing regular updates, and performance reports, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Strategic Planning & Risk Management
- Developing and implementing strategies to maximize returns on the REIT’s property investments, including identifying new investment opportunities.
- Assessing and mitigating risks associated with property investments, market conditions, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Proven experience in real estate investment management, particularly within a REIT or property development context.
- Strong knowledge of financial modelling, real estate valuation, and market analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with investors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with local real estate laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
