The role involves overseeing the management and maintenance of buildings and specified locations, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Responsibilities include managing, advising and coordinating necessary and appropriate improvements to ensure safe usage of paces, as well as man and supervising contractors to adhere to agreements. The role also involves overseeing the operations of the central management team including services such as cleaning, garden and landscape maintenance, internal document delivery, telephone call transfers, catering, conference room management, restroom sanitation, pest control and central drinking water services, ensuring compliance with standards and Service Level Agreements (SLA). Duties also include overseeing the central services of the bank and vendor services to ensure compliance with contract terms and SLAs, analyzing and evaluating service delivery to recommend efficiency improvements to management, drafting Terms of Reference (TOR), and serving on selection
committees for service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing building operations, including design, construction, and maintenance for all bank offices and branches.
- Creating plans in alignment with assigned policies from superiors and executives to meet objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with bank regulations by supervising staff and management.
- Overseeing and adjusting workforce management plans according to workload requirements.
- Offering guidance on building management and addressing any operational issues.
- Approving requests and tasks as required through the proper channels.
- Encouraging and motivating staff to improve work quality and efficiency.
- Coordinating with internal departments and government entities to meet objectives.
- Preparing and reviewing annual budgets and financial matters related to the role.
- Overseeing and authorising expenditures related to building management in line with policy.
- Implementing policies for energy conservation and allocating funding for energy-saving projects.
- Organizing and supporting both internal and external bank-related events.
- Approving and proposing beneficial building system improvement projects.
- Ensuring and promoting safety standards for both staff and contractors.
- Serving as the managing director for subsidiary companies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering Management or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in building and facility management.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Excellent leadership and relationship skills.
- Strong abilities in communication, presentation and motivating others.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and with enthusiasm.
- High standards of responsibility and integrity.
- Excellent service orientation and coordination skills.
