Our client is the world’s leading aluminium heat exchanger for automotive Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning systems (HVAC).
Responsibilities
- Ensuring PMS milestones, in collaboration with the Business Development and Engineering Manager and relevant functions, are meticulously prepared and executed.
- Cultivating strong relationships and acting as the company's representative in ongoing customer negotiations.
- Preparing and submitting RFQA to Management when necessary.
- Developing and maintaining APQP key dates, program status sheets, and program launch plans for new model launches, engineering changes, and transfer programs.
- Leading and managing program launch teams to meet customer deliverable dates and product quality targets, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring program profitability and executing new programs within defined financial parameters.
- Maintaining open communication with internal teams responsible for tracking, coordinating, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring that customer requirements are clearly understood and effectively communicated across the organization.
- When required, visit customers to enhance communication and gain a deeper understanding of customer requirements.
- Leading weekly APQP meetings to monitor the program's progress.
- Collaborating with technical experts and the Production Department to review product development stages.
- Overseeing the creation of essential documents, such as flow charts, control plans, and PFMEAs, for PPAP submissions.
- Conducting production readiness review meetings and monitoring material orders to meet program launch deadlines.
- Initiating, coordinating, and monitoring the development and approval of program-related equipment and tooling, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Consulting with management regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and additional production process requirements.
- Coordinating quality matters between customers and internal teams, and providing feedback to the plant on customer issues and concerns.
- Offering technical assistance to customers and providing training to enhance their understanding of the product, reducing unnecessary rejections.
- Being responsible for Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and ergonomic compliance in the Plant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in program management within the automotive industry.
- Proven expertise in program/NPI/project management, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A mature and effective team manager with a strong focus on driving results and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, adept at identifying issues and developing innovative solutions.
- In-depth understanding of automotive industry regulations and quality standards, including IATF16949.
- Proficient in the use of project management tools and software.
- A proactive approach to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up to date with industry trends and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging automotive environment.
