Job Description
Our client is a consumer products manufacturer.
They are looking for a "Supplier Quality Engineer" position. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in overall supplier quality management, including supplier audits and development, and have excellent communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Conducting periodic quality assessments of specific products from overseas suppliers following the Quality Plan.
- Conducting product audits of overseas suppliers.
- Measuring product dimensions, examining functionality, and comparing the final product to the specifications.
- Documenting the inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Analyzing quality plans and product specifications to identify and understand the requirements of the products.
- Developing and maintaining the quality plan and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Asia supplier quality control.
- Ensuring that all quality plans and SOPs are updated.
- Proactively monitor supplier performance and ensure timely follow-up on all quality improvement projects.
- Improving or maintaining the QAFA score of overseas suppliers.
- Conducting a factory audit to assess the compliance of the manufacturing process with the relevant standards.
- Ensuring that the factory and the process of overseas suppliers comply with the relevant standards.
- Preparing and delivering a weekly and monthly report to the manager, summarizing the key findings and recommendations.
- Improving or maintaining QAFA score and the quality of the product of Asia suppliers.
- Proactively tracking customer requirements and international standards, and providing timely updates to the team and overseas supplier.
- Ensuring that the quality system is updated.
- Ensuring that all overseas suppliers have received and applied the latest customer requirements and international standards.
- Regularly conducting studies and training on customer requirements and international standards.
- Understanding of customer requirements and international standards, and being able to effectively communicate and apply these to suppliers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years of working experience in a Supplier Quality role from packaging manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
- Excellent skill of the lab instrument: Micrometer, spectrophotometer, tensile, Elmendorf tear strength, Free Falling Dart Impact.
- Flexible for working aboard.
