Our client is a leading global integrated oil and gas services and solutions provider operating across the entire upstream value chain.
Responsibilities
- Satisfying the regulatory requirements and responsibilities as stipulated under the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations 2011.
- Providing onshore HSE representation, providing support to onshore and offshore rig management.
- Attending to client liaison concerning HSE matters as required.
- Assisting rig management in maintaining compliance with company policy, procedures and values.
- Participating in the conduct of annual rig HSE internal audits.
- Contributing to the development and continual improvement of the safety management system.
- Frequently visiting assigned rig/s (1 rig visit per month as applicable).
- Participating in and reviewing activities/effectiveness of rig safety and health committee.
- Participating as an investigation team member for incident investigations.
- Reviewing all rig undesired event and non-conformity cases (Synergy), performing quality checks and coaching for improvement.
- When offshore, randomly verifying closed Synergi action items against the required action, to quality assures the effectiveness of the learning and close-out process.
- Identifying and communicating best practices and lessons learned during rig visits, across all operating units within the country's area of responsibility.
- Providing systems training to onshore and offshore personnel (TMS / Synergy).
- Performing auditing activity during rig visits (using rig internal audit or HSE Advisor audit checklist).
- Capturing rig visit activity through Management Visits and Internal audit Synergi case records and completing Synergi data entry requirements for the activities undertaken.
- When offshore, undertaking random quality checks against job planning, briefing, execution and debrief processes (including QC of TBRA’s and DIN’s), and provide coaching as required.
- When offshore, assisting STO and department supervisors in workplace coaching and crew incremental skills development.
- When offshore, actively participating in the Safety Observation Reporting program and positively intervene in all observed unsafe acts.
- Maintaining HSE statistical information as required.
- Fulfilling Rig STO duties on an emergency relief basis if required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years - full-time safety professional (allied industries).
- Minimum of 4 years - Fulltime HSE operations related to the onshore/offshore drilling or related Oil & Gas industries.
- Incident Investigation qualifications and experience (e.g. TAPROOT / RCA TOP-SET / Tripod Beta).
- Workplace Trainer and Competency Assessor qualification.
- Internal Auditor Qualifications (ISO compliant).
- Fluent in English and Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
