Responsibilities                                                                                               

Project Logistics Planning

• Developing comprehensive logistics plans, considering timelines, budgets, and specific requirements.
• Collaborating with project managers to align logistics strategies & Milestones.

Communication and Reporting

• Fostering open communication with cross-functional teams to provide updates and address issues.
• Preparing regular reports on logistics performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinating with the Project Team (CPM/Planning / Procurement /Logistics) to receive information about equipment delivery.
• Tracking of shipment and planning the storage requirements on-site.
• Following up on material delivery to site as per installation schedule.
• Handling the vendor and Supplier Coordination.
• Preparing and reporting Daily progress (Formats to be provided by customer).
• Monitoring all internal and external milestones and reporting to the Site Manager.         

On-Site Management – Operational

• Establishing and managing on-site logistics teams, including supervisors and coordinators.
• Knowing landing/unloading using material handling equipment.
• Having a basic knowledge of Vehicle and Transportation norms.
• Knowing Lashing and Safety norms for transportation of normal or ODC cargoes.
• Surveying and assessment of local site road conditions before the ODC Movement.
• Supervising ODC movement from Store to unloading locations.
• Having an awareness of Health and safety standards and procedures.
• Assisting and supporting the OPI (Open Packaging inspection).

Inventory Control

• Handling periodic inspection and preservation of material and equipment as per storage guidelines.

Compliance and Documentation

• Ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards in the transportation and storage of materials.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Having knowledge and application of HSE Guidelines.

Continuous Improvement

• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in logistics operations.
• Implementing best practices and driving innovation in project logistics.

Qualifications

• 3-5 Years in a Project logistics role.
• Experience with Heavy lift cargoes.
• Familiarity with LMS Insite, EPC on-site projects and industrial packaging is desirable but not mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Senior On-Site Logistics Manager in project logistics or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles, including project-specific logistics challenges.
• Proficiency in logistics software and technology for tracking, reporting, and optimization.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements concerning Heavy Lift operations.
• Ability to work in dynamic project environments.
• 6 working days: with 3 months of working and 2 weeks off.
• 3-year contract (hydro powerplant project).
