Job Description:
- Leading structured problem-solving tasks/projects for industrialization challenges in the plant and executing industrialization activities for new and experimental materials, products, and processes in close cooperation with R&D (triggering performance-neutral alternatives).
- Offering technical alternatives optimized for process capabilities, cost reduction, minimizing rework, and ensuring compliance with the established Release Notice Procedure, Cured Tire Dimensions, and QMD Standards.
- Ensuring internal KPIs are consistently met and initiating structured problem-solving tasks in case of deviations.
- Ensuring the timely introduction of new raw materials and compounds, considering local manufacturing process capabilities.
- Ensuring the SOP of new products and technologies according to R&D requirements and plant objectives and overseeing the creation and distribution of all related documentation.
- Driving the 3-4-1 concept within the plant and providing technical support to production on performance-relevant construction/tyre engineering issues using appropriate problem-solving methods.
- Promoting teamwork and efficient distribution of tasks within the 3-4-1 and business team concepts within the plant organization.
- Assessing plant readiness based on future R&D requirements in terms of investment and capacity.
- Driving processes to translate R&D requirements into tangible impacts on the plant (in terms of investment, capacity, and capability).
- Supervising and managing projects related to industrialization and continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with the project management structure in the plant.
- Ensuring the implementation of measures and maintaining controls.
- Raising awareness and providing information about ESH responsibilities and duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in R&D Engineering or a related field.
- Profound experience in Engineering, preferably in the automotive industry or other industrial manufacturing environments.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in a large international corporation and complex matrix organizations.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work under time pressure.
- Fluency in English.
